I prefer to work with someone in the Philippines due to time difference. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and an innovative thinker (able to make suggestions regarding the design of the site and functionality based on the client's desires). You need to be experienced at design, have creative flair...and above all love WordPress! You should be familiar with trending themes and latest design developments. I am not looking for fancy sites just clean and simple - subject to the client's preferences (and I will provide reference sites the client likes as a basis to work from). I prefer not to use PSD for design process. Often an existing theme will do the job. I have one website project currently ready to go but more in the pipeline.
