We are a growing B2B eCommmerce company in the emergency lights space. Sample of our websites includes emergencylights.net and Ballasts.com. We are currently looking for an inside sales person to start immediately.
** We offer base compensation and bonus opportunities on high ticket sales. **
While this is an inbound sales position, meaning customers call us usually when they already have an idea what they want/need, we are looking for someone with background in sales that will know how to work a deal and understand when to discount, up sell, cross sell etc.
Able to work all weekdays, at least 8 hours a day on EST business hours (9am to 5pm). We prefer someone who also live in EST time zone.
We normally do not take calls over the weekend and all major holidays.
English native speaker with no/minimal accent
Previous experience with B2B sales is a plus
Knowledge and/or Experience in the emergency lights and or electrical/fire industry is a huge plus.
Must have a reliable and fast internet connection as well as a US phone line.
Must be computer savvy
Excellent communication skills
Experience with all/some of the following is a huge plus: Bigcommerce, HelpScout and Pipedrive.
The day to day:
Phone calls from our websites will be directed to your phone line during business hours. Usually most customers need help locating a specific product or have some questions about the specifications, availability and such. Some customers will request a quote for several items or have special requests. Your job will be to assist customers with their orders online as well as working on offline quotes to get the correct pricing and communicate with the customer to convince them to buy from us (better pricing, lead time, special products etc). We have a back office assistant that will work with you to get the orders in place with the vendors and find out inventory, lead times and special request. When it makes sense you’ll work directly with vendors on urgent requests or where the communication is better done directly. We are a fully dropship company and hold no inventory.
Your duties as inbound sales person will be:
Navigate multiple software and database while conversing with the client, use the data in the records to place orders, make recommendations to the customer and document the transaction.
Answering questions, placing order or resolving issues of the clients.
Facilitate sales of all products and services according to the client's needs.
Not only answer the queries of the customer, but also to ask questions to the customer in order to understand their need.
Take charge of unresolved complaints and ensure that they are resolved.
Analyze the client's requirement after conversation with them and recommend products or service that will match their needs.
Keep a track of the potential customers and their requirements.
Take follow up of all calls as needed.
Our customers are mostly electrical contractors, constructions contractors, maintenance companies, government agencies and individual business owners.
As an eCommerce company we heavily use technology to manage our sales and day to day. We work with helpscout to make sure emails and tasks don’t get lost and we use pipedrive to effectively manage the pipeline of sales. That means you’ll need to be able to work in this flow and update leads and sales as they progress in real time. We also track and record all calls.
The current call volume is about 10-20 calls a day. Some of those calls are very simple questions like order updates or follow ups but most are sales calls that require offline work as well. As of right now you’ll be the only one answering calls with missed calls going to voicemail but expected to be returned ASAP. When needed, we’ll add additional inside sales or customer service people.
