I am looking to work collaboratively with a creative web developer on designing and building Wordpress websites for local businesses (in Australia).
I prefer to work with someone in the Philippines due to time difference.
The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and an innovative thinker (able to make suggestions regarding the design of the site and functionality based on the client's desires). You need to be experienced at design, have creative flair...and above all love WordPress! You should be familiar with trending themes and latest design developments. I am not looking for fancy sites just clean and simple - subject to the client's preferences (and I will provide reference sites the client likes as a basis to work from). I prefer not to use PSD for design process. Often an existing theme will do the job.
I have one website project currently ready to go but more in the pipeline. Hopefully we will work together on those too.
I have built a few WordPress websites myself but I do not enjoy the design/theme selection process. I prefer to focus on the client relationship and SEO/keyword research.
I will give you very detailed information about the client's business - including content for the site. You may sometimes need to source some stock images. I will provide copies of existing branding/marketing materials and any other design specifications. Great if we can use an existing theme which requires little customisation but if we need to custom design my preference is Divi theme however I am open to other options.
Initial phase of the project will be to provide a home page mock up.
Once approved by client we will proceed to development of other pages.
The number of revisions (from the client) will also be agreed upfront :-)
If this job appeals to you please apply and tell me the following:
Which are your favourite WordPress themes to work with?
What tools do you use to better facilitate communication with your clients?
Thank you in advance for your time.
I will contact the top 3 applicants for further discussion via skype (preferably).
