Looking for someone who can "keep an eye on" and proactively recommend tactics for the marketing of two websites (maybe more in future - who knows!), and then pick up specific SEO/SEM projects as needed.
You'll need to be familiar with SEO, CPC, remarketing, etc.
Situation is that we do ongoing development, admin and design on a couple of websites, and it makes sense for us to be able to advise on SEO/SEM issues. We've got GA set up and a Moz account, and we've done a lot of the obvious housekeeping (like setting up some Event tracking and excluding some referral spam), but what now? We can see data, sure, but what does it mean and what should we do now? And how do we work best with the site owners' desires for CPC, and integration with their CRM software?
So, need someone who understands this far better than we do (our insight is just what we've gleaned through building and administrating websites - there's no depth of knowledge here!)
Obviously we're looking for someone who can offer *more* than just compiling generic reports and recommending predictable one-size-fits-all SEO tactics. We need real insight.
We're based in Europe, with mainly US clients who like that we do high quality work in fluent English, but are a bit cheaper than Americans. Most likely, therefore, we'll end up working with someone in Europe who speaks fluent English. I have nothing against North America but I expect to pay people decently based on where they live - and living costs in the US are high, which can be prohibitive. I have nothing against India, but I'm sick of online Indian biz-dev tactics and need to deal with people who can do what they promise and not try to gouge me for the minimum effort (not saying everyone in India does that, but after 15 years running international projects I know to be wary).
Our working culture is best described as "North European" - efficient, straight-forward, unemotional, with people keeping their promises; the existing team are in the UK, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania and Russia, and everyone is expected to speak fluent English. So, if you're outside Europe be aware of the above.
