I own a very small software development company, mostly building websites and mobile apps for our customers. I generally send out about one or two 10 page proposals per week to potential clients. Our proposals include mostly boilerplate content but I do write enough project-specific content that it's starting to take too much time for me to both write proposals and manage the day-to-day operations of my business.
I'm looking for someone with both proposal writing experience and also software project experience that can assume all proposal writing responsibilities for me.
My proposals so far include an overview or description of what I propose to deliver (typically a website, mobile app, custom software development, support and maintenance, and/or software consulting) followed by more descriptive information about the modules, features, or specific services that will be provided.
I add quite a bit of boilerplate content pulled from a small collection of content that I maintain.
We also include cost information, timelines, and payment schedules. Those details will be provided as needed for each proposal.
I addition to being able to write proposals I am very open to any suggestions regarding my approach, style, format, content, etc. My background is in software development and not proposal writing so I am learning as I go.
Our project values typically range from $1,000 - $30,000 USD although we are eager to market for larger and larger projects.
