We are a boutique digital agency looking for a talented marketing specialist to help us deliver outstanding digital marketing services to our clients. The work we need will require about 16-20 hours per month to start, with the potential to grow with the right person should that be mutually desired. As a mission-driven agency, we work with a small and select clientele in the domains of health and wellness, human potentials, consulting and education, and sustainability. Accordingly, someone with experience in these domains and a passion for changing the world is a plus.
The Marketing Specialist role entails three primary functions:
1. Search Engine Optimization (Self-Learning). The goal of our marketing services is quite simply to propel our clients’ success by increasing the right kind of traffic to their websites and the conversion rate of that traffic. Technology and SEO methods constantly change, but the fundamentals of marketing remain – understand the target market and get the right content in front of them. Therefore, while previous SEO experience is a plus, we are primarily looking for someone with a strong talent for marketing fundamentals who loves to learn. The software we use for SEO has step-by-step instructions to follow. Google provides a wealth of help and information as well. So we’re looking for someone who is great at self-managing their own learning to research the information they need and use our tools. See the attachment for details.
2. Writing and Content Marketing. The technical aspect of SEO is fairly easy to learn, but success ultimately comes down to brilliance with words. Compelling headlines that attract attention without being gaudy. Inviting and concise descriptions that draw the reader in. Blog posts that speak to heart and mind, address real-world concerns, educate and motivate with honest-to-goodness value, not fluff. Yes, content must cleverly incorporate keywords in accord with SEO strategy to achieve the desired ranking results, but most importantly it must directly benefit human readers. In addition to word-craft mastery, another element here is Link Building. This means using research and networking skills to find high quality websites and get them to link back to our clients’ pages. This is also easy to learn. See the attachment for details.
3. Client Liaison. Half of the job of delivering our services successfully is performing the service itself. The other half is keeping clients delighted with regular personalized updates, answering questions, and maintaining a good rapport. So the role also requires a natural talent for communication, service, and tact. See the attachment for details.
If this sounds like a good fit, please be sure and read the attachment carefully before posting a proposal. Due to limited time availability, generic copy/pasted proposals will be ignored, so we can focus on those with a genuine interest in this role and our agency.
Thank you for your kind consideration. Please feel free to post any questions and we will happily respond.
