We are looking for someone who can help solve a serious problem with our account at Amazon.ca SellerCentral. This is not likely to be "typical" work. There appears to be a problem with our account, our sales have fallen to zero almost-overnight, and we cannot identify a cause or remedy.
We are the Canadian distributor/e-retailer of a consumer-electronics item for a California-based manufacturer. We have been selling on Amazon.ca successfully for over four years. Suddenly, our sales at SellerCentral have fallen completely to zero... not a single order in over two weeks during a period which should (statistically speaking) have provided us with at least 100 orders. There is a problem even if Amazon.ca says that everything is fine!
For the 50 SKUs that we sell on Amazon.ca, we had the Buy Box for 80%+ almost all the time over more than four years. In late April, both our BuyBox and (much more importantly) our sales plummeted to zero overnight.
We called Amazon repeatedly and they offer no explanation, saying "your account was and remains in perfect order... nothing happened to cause this change". And yet there must be a cause: after 1600 predictable sales days, it is statiscally impossible for sales to drop to zero overnight, and stay at zero. There must be a reason, but we have not been able to identify it.
We had, and continue to have, the lowest price on almost all SKUs. We ship product ourselves (we do not use FBA). The Buy Box is now controlled by a variety of other sellers (not just one or two). Some of these sellers are brand-new to Amazon.ca with no reputation at all. Some are in Canada, others in the USA, and others are overseas. All of our customer feedback is very good (4.9 stars).
Other information (which Amazon says is NOT relevant but we think it is IS relevant)
In the days leading up to this problem, we received two orders from a "buyer" who later proved to be fraudulent. He opened an A-Z Claim against us, but Amazon denied the claim and then agreed with us that we had done everything perfectly and correctly.
Despite the fact that we did nothing wrong, is it a coincidence that our sales fell to zero on the day after this A-Z Claim was closed (closed in our favor)? Amazon says that the Claim is not related. They can offer no explanation as to why our sales have fallen to zero. Can you help?
