I require help setting up my aws infrastructure from its current state to one that fits the requirements of my business. I run a simple web service that implements a RESTful interface over a SQL DB to store my data. My current toolset includes: -3 ec2 instances (one for my ECS instance, on for my jenkins server, one for a browser version of the app (created by elastic beanstalk)) - 1 ECS cluster with 1 container image - 1 RDS instance - extra things like sns, iam permissions, s3 buckets that hold my configs my external tools that i use include -private github repo linked to the jenkins server -jenkins server linked to the repo to create the java artifact and push to the docker hub repo - docker hub repo used inside my elastic container instance for deploying the web server Right now we have an app in alpha testing running that uses the current backend, because of this we need to create a completely separate environment (with new db and everything) for testing to keep the integrity of the live data. I would like to consolidate all my aws resources into a cloud formation template to make creating and destroying environments simple and scalable. this job should be a pretty generic use case of setting up a robust and scalable web server using AWS's toolset. To be specific, I am looking for: 1.Restructure our our aws backend set-up to facilitate continuous rollouts: As of right now the linking between the external resources (git, jenkins, docker) are broken and deployment must be done manually manually between them. 2.Separate environments for live products and testing -I need to have separate instances of my web server and db, one that is live and customer facing and one that is for testing and development. This will likely be a new copies of the resources mentioned above. This will include a new rollout pipeline. 3.Combining resources into a AWS Cloud formation template so i can easily set up and take down environments. 4.Documentation of the set up / use of the toolsets upon completion 5.Occasional correspondence depending on potential questions and problems.

We are looking to establish a relationship with an experienced linux system administrator who is very familiar with Amazon EC2. We need someone with mid-level expertise with bash, as well as troubleshooting when there is a system down. Experience with mysql, tomcat, apache and ssl certificates are all required. As a first step, we would like for this person to take our existing backup scripts which run on a dozen servers, and consolidate them to one set of backup scripts running off a central server. Additional hardening of the script is desired as well. If successful, we'd like this person to start up a new AWS server based on an existing one, increasing the server's disk space in the process.
