Hello, my name is Ricardo Romay, I am from Venezuela and I am living in London right now, also I am a Bitcoin miner and enthusiast.
Venezuela is located on the northern edge of South America, although it has the largest reserves of oil in the world, it is in a serious economic, political and social crisis. It has the highest inflation in the world with numbers reaching 1800% of inflation in 1 year and looks like it will not stop next year.
In addition, Venezuela has been governed by in the last 18 years for politicians who call themselves socialists and who maintain strong currency control of exchange, not allowing its citizens to change their Bolivares (currency in circulation) in other currencies to protect themselves of inflation.
Many as 1.5 Millions Venezuelan has left the country trying find a better future for them and their families, but other 30 Millions still live under this tragedy.
I decide to help my compatriots with Bitcoin and its technology. For now there is no law against the cryptocurrency in Venezuela.
I have in mind 2 different projects but they complement each other, the first one is to create a web application where Venezuelans living around the world can send remittances to Venezuela as micropayments through the Bitcoin platform, this is different from all remittances applications on the market because the customer will receive Bolivars in their bank accounts to a 150% higher market rate. The second one is a webpage where Venezuelans, living in Venezuela, can acquire Bitcoins with Bolivars through the exchange system, helping them to protect from inflation and helping Bitcoin platform to grow.
