I'm working a project and am in need of a talented electrical engineer experienced with IMUs, FPGAs (or microcontrollers if better suited for the job), and laser beam steering. This project includes the full design and prototyping of a device. So here's the project….imagine a user holding a device 8 x 8 x 3cm (length x width x height) or smaller. The user stands anywhere from 2 to 15 meters away from a wall. The user points the device at a wall. The user clicks a button on the device which turns on a laser (650nm - red; similar to what you might see in a laser pen). The user then orients the device to point the laser at a specific target on the wall. When the user clicks another button, the device holds the laser on the target even though the user moves the device in his/her hand (steadily, no sudden movements).
