I'm looking for Scrum Master to coach me and my team. Basically, I've just read: "Scrum: The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time". And I want to implement it. But I'm a super small biz. Me and an assistant full-time. And then contractors. Mostly devs or designers on our projects. We have signed up for JIRA to start managing our projects from there using Scrum, but we find it somewhat difficult to use. We're wondering if this is the right software for us to track our workflow. While we're rather project centric, there are a lot of different projects, most of them small, that we're all doing at the same time. Like me and my assistant can be doing 3-5 at once. Then I'll be managing a dev project or two on the side. My dev may only work 10-20 hours a week for me. On some the dev projects, I may have nothing to do besides review tasks, write specs, review deliverables, etc. So far we've been doing all of this in Asana, but after reading the book I've mentioned before, we felt JIRA could become a really handy tool for us. We have never done the scheduling, besides back of the napkin type stuff... For projects mid-way, is this okay? I'm also not sure how much we need for project planning. Then on other marketing projects, it is basically me writing copy for weeks. And then that goes to my assistant for video creation, voice talent, and a designer for the web mock up. So, I'm not totally clear on how to bring Scrum into all this. Especially, with the outside contractors. Or people that have a small piece of the project. We'd like to get a better idea on how to implement Scrum and JIRA to manage our projects, increment our productivity and be able to track our progress. Or maybe get your thoughts on this, if you think this is an overkill for the type and size of projects we're dealing with.

Every project (including newly created ones) should have the same permission, workflow, etc. settings. Please see the attached document for details. This is not a final plan! We run a service desk and also 2 scrum projects. We use JIRA on Demand. We need someone to configure the tickets in a way that allows for reporting. Right now we don't see a lot of data. Part of this would be to clean up the ticket screens, make needed fields mandatory and setup a few simple reports for us. For the service desk we want "time to first action" and "time to resolution". Maybe one or two standard reports more. For the Scrum projects we need burn down charts.
