We're looking for an editor for the ZADevChat podcast (https://zadevchat.io). We currently do all the editing ourselves. Each guest records locally to get the best quality possible, so the result is 4-6 OGG audio files that need to be aligned and edited. Our general editing process involves trimming out silences (we encourage awkward silence during the recording so participants don't talk over each other), remove obvious "uhms" at the beginning of a part-of-speech, adjust levels, mix in our opening/closing tracks and apply some compression. We would provide the audio files via Dropbox/Google Drive and expect the resulting audio to be uploaded to SoundCloud with the provided show notes. We record every week on a Monday evening (GMT+2) and release the shows the following Wednesday morning. The ability to put the show notes together would be a plus, so would possible transcription be. Transcription needs to be priced separately. This is a trial endeavour for us and we're not sure how long it will go on. Hopefully we can sustain it for the foreseeable future and build a good relationship with an editor.

I just created a new podcast and I'm looking for someone to edit the first three episodes. Each episode is over an hour long and we're looking to get it to the 40-45 minute range at the longest. I have multiple versions of each file and the sound should be pretty good on two of them. I'm looking to create a clean seamless audio file with decent sound quality.

Hi There! We have an immediate need for a podcast editing expert. We are in the process of launching 2 podcasts and are looking for an experienced podcast editor. You will be tested on your skills as part of the hiring project. We will be expecting that you complete the following with episode: 1. Add episode-specific ID3 tags to every audio file (helps with iTunes search) 2. Optimize the audio files to professional standards (split tracks, normalize, cut out “uhmms and errs”, add intro, outro, etc.) 3. Attach the cover art directly to every audio file 4. Upload directly to our media host 5. Provide us with the direct link to the produced media file 6. Would be preferred if you can use Garage Band and provide your project file In other words, we will just upload the audio to a shared dropbox folder, and you’ll take it from there. Professionally edit it, add the intros and the closing, and send us the direct link to the uploaded file. Our hope is to find someone we can work long-term with, and this initial project will serve as an introduction period / test to make sure we work well together. We would like to know how long will it take you to edit ONE 45 minute episode. Please send details on any other podcasts you have worked on. To make sure we know you have read and understand these requirements, make sure the first line of your response says "Orange". Applications that do not include this term will be deleted. Thanks. We look forward to working with you!

We are taking on a herculean project to record 196 hymns. We are a prayer community numbering 100,000 and the royalties for copyrighted music that is not of the quality we want has created an opportunity for us to immediately seek someone who can accept recordings in a various digital formats and make them not only usable, but beautiful. We don't want your grandma's music. No synthesizer instruments. What we want is the production level of the UK Cathedrals or the chant sounds of monastics from medieval times. Most of the content we have for you to mix is voice artists with SABT and one or two tracks of organ, piano, or guitar. I use Logic Pro so this will be my preferred file format. The music will be recorded well, but rarely in a studio. It will be recorded primarily in churches so that we can record their organs and high end pianos. Optionally, if you have the ability, we would like some fill music (if thats a thing) added if the piece needs it. We will be using these hymns as part of our liturgical prayer on DivineOffice.org. All of our content will be recorded form public domain translations from latin. We intend to use this content as mentioned before, but would also like to master it for distribute it for purchase on Amazon, iTunes, and all the other big distribution sites. We already do this for some of our music. We want the quality of our mix to be good enough to put it out for sale. You will need to read music, correct any pitch problems, correct timing problems, and work a mix together to create a tight beautiful piece. Logic Pro is a required

We're getting set to launch a new podcast series and we'd like to find a freelancer to help us edit it. It would include adding music/bumpers and editing the audio to produce two versions of each episode: a 30-minute episode and a 60-minute episode. We don't need lots of custom sound effects or anything, but we want to sound professional. For this job, we're looking for someone who can listen without too much guidance from us and make edits/cuts intuitively, based on when we've made a mistake, when there's a technical glitch, etc., and also someone who can help us decide what to cut for the 30-minute version. We're looking at hiring someone for a per-episode rate, with a planned production rate of 2 sets of 30- and 60-minute episodes per month. Please make your bid per episode.

My piano tracks sound good, but I want to give them a wrapper: neat rhythm section, pads or other background, and features of film-scoring. Your creative vision is free! In these examples tempo-track is flexible, but tracks for wrapper have more fixed tempo: https://youtu.be/Zj9XtCAvXtA https://youtu.be/AV6jZED7TFI Thats my music :) Thanks!
