Calling all videographers,
It is (finally) time for me to set up a studio in my basement.
But, alas, I have never created videos myself before --- at least not very good ones.
So I would like to up my game and have bought a Sony a6300 --- (and it would be an added benefit if you knew your way around DSLRs and their functionality because I'd like to improve as a photographer as well).
And am ready to buy softboxes, mics, high CRI bulbs, backdrops, etc. everything I would need to produce very good quality, but perhaps not professional quality videos.
And I would like your help with that. You would help me:
~select the right-priced equipment
~see (virtually) how and where to set up the lights, tripods, etc.
~critique the first several videos with a critical eye to quality -- and help with all the ~small little things like custom white balance
~create a way to develop scripts efficiently
~and generally make a decent at home video creator out of me
Please note that I did not save video editor. I would like the workflow to be as simple and seamless as possible so that I could produce high-quality videos of me as the talking head without resorting too much editing.
My Goal ---- These videos have to be simple, quick and easy to create, but to have high quality lighting and sound.
In your response please tell me:
~how we would videoconference from my basement to your place
~what steps you think I would need to take to reach my goal
~what you would do to help me reach the goal
~how long it would take, assuming I have five hours per week to work on this
~your experience not just as a videographer, but as a tutor
~the price per hour that you would charge
~your time zone
Please respect my time and do not give me several videos to watch of your work.
I hope you find this project interesting and that you would be really engaged by it.
If so, I look forward to working with you.
