We’re looking for someone who is fabulous at creating marketing content that drives user engagement. She/he develops copy across multi-media platforms for marketing funnels that sell our WomenTech Educators training and products to our B2B audience of predominantly community college educators.
Copywriter is a self-starter that excels at producing persuasive calls-to-action and high click-through and conversion rates in emails, landing pages and social media. Copywriter uses analytics including SEO to improve effectiveness of online marketing campaigns. Creative and able to create new copy to achieve campaign goals.
Develop ideas for and create content copy for marketing campaigns that contain the following elements: E-newsletters, Auto-responders, Landing pages, Video Scripts, Webinar Scripts and PowerPoint Copy, Free gift development (i.e. an E-book), Social media posts, Pitches for live and online events, including Tele-summits, Business Case Studies.
Project Description/Scope of Work
2 direct sales emails for 1 product. If this project goes well, we are interested in moving to providing a steady stream of work weekly for the right candidate on a project basis.
Deliverables: Copy for 2 emails approximately 250-400 words each (our current average ~300 words per email).
1. Brief meeting with client (Monday, Feb 15 10:30am)
2. Review reference materials in Dropbox (example: prior emails)
3. Develop copy for 2 emails (Drafts due by 9am PT Wed, Feb 17)
4. Make any revisions to emails (Final emails due by 5pm PT Thurs, Feb 18)
Email open rate = 14% (current average open rate 9.4%)
Email click thru rate =10% (current average click through 4%)
Our Online Marketing Experience: We are sophisticated in our online marketing and can provide you with examples of best performing landing pages, emails, past webinar scripts, etc. We also have source documents such as transcripts of interviews with our targeted audience and testimonials. We are participating in an online marketing program for a 2nd year and at times may ask you to look at guidance or examples from this program or even participate in calls with our CopyWriting coach.
You will work collaboratively with team members via voice (eg Skype or Google hangouts) to connect copy to marketing strategy. You must be available during some of the following business hours that intersect with key team members: Monday 9 am to 5:30 pm PT, Thursday 9 am to 2 pm PT, Wednesday 10 am to 6 pm PT. You must be willing to use our web-based Project Management System Basecamp and utilize Dropbox.
