Fertility Funders is actively seeking new bloggers!
This is a new, revolutionary donation-based blog website designed to help women with infertility issues fund costly fertility treatments.
I am seeking women who want to honestly and openly tell their stories of infertility - cysts, endometriosis, hormonal issues, etc. - and want a financial outlet that will help support them in their fertility treatments. This site is designed to serve the woman with limited financial resources who thinks she'll never have a baby because of cost and because of the challenges in her own body. It is not intended for women who already have the means to pursue their own fertility treatment.
You don't have to be a supremely eloquent writer, but I will be vetting all posts and updates for basic spelling, grammar, and punctuation before posting to the site. I will otherwise not change your words. I am looking for well thought out, moving posts that will inspire potential donors! Please be a native English speaker located in the U.S.
**TO APPLY, please send me a brief sentence or two that tells me about your story with infertility and financial struggle to seek (or continue with) fertility treatment. *Example: “I have endometriosis and have never been able to get pregnant. With my job, there is no way I could pay for in vitro myself.”
**UPON HIRING, I will ask you to provide a blog post of 2-4 paragraphs (your primary "My Story" post) that expresses your dream of becoming a mother and your struggle with infertility and the financial constraints that prevent you from pursuing fertility treatment (this may include your struggle to finance fertility treatment you are currently receiving).
If I choose your post, I will require information on the doctor and facilities you visit (or want to visit) for infertility treatment so that donations can be made directly to your facility on your behalf.
You will be asked to provide reasonably regular status updates to your primary "My Story" post. In addition to progress reports on financing your treatment (which may hinge on the level of donations you receive), you are encouraged to include in your updates any other aspect of your quest for fertility - emotional, spiritual, lifestyle, etc.
PAY: $25.00 for your initial "My Story" blog post of 2-4 paragraphs. **I will add the 10% Upwork fee before June 21, and 20% Upwork fee after June 21 to freelancers.** As this is a donation-based website, it would mainly be an outlet for you to tell your story and to get help funding your fertility treatment journey.
I'm hoping to develop long-term relationships with aspiring mothers who genuinely need financial help funding their fertility treatment!
Application questions are below.
I don't care as much about your Upwork job history and work credentials, as it's not really relevant to this job post, but I do ask that you be a native English speaker and be in the U.S. Happy to provide positive feedback for a well thought out, moving post that would inspire potential donors!
Please send any questions you may have with your proposal.
