We are considering an expansion into Australia, to serve Australian staffing organizations in addition to the US and UK companies we currently serve. I'm looking for research into the size of the staffing market in AUS, the opportunities for us, the areas of greatest risk and the areas of greatest possible growth. I'm looking to get a market analysis report written by end of day Saturday October 1, that will provide research on the below (all applies to Australia). BACKGROUND: Our company is a US-owned firm that provides support to the staffing & recruiting industry. Our main line of business is Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO). We assist the internal recruiters employed by a company, teaming them with our India & Philippines-based recruiters & sourcers, tools and tech resources, thereby making the client's recruiters (the internal recruiters) more productive and effective. Unless otherwise stated, questions and comments below apply to both: 1. Staffing firms. Ideally IT staffing 2. RPO firms (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) KEY QUESTIONS: * What is the market for offshore (India) sourcers and recruiters (also known as offshore RPO) to support recruiters in Australia? * How many US or UK staffing companies have offices in Australia? * What is the size of the staffing market? The IT staffing market (or other non-clerical professional recruiting firms?) * What can we learn about our competitors? (See competitive analysis, below) DIRECTED RESEARCH: 1. Industry Description and Outlook: A description of the staffing/recruiting market in Australia. This includes customer characteristics of the market, the size of the staffing market in AUS, and the size of the RPO market in AUS. I’m interested in historic and predicted growth rates, as well as trends & other related characteristics. 2. Information About Target Market: What are the employment trends, seen by staffing/recruitment companies (not employment trends reported by a national agency similar to the US BLS)? Can we identify any patterns in hiring? Is there a skills shortage in any particular field? If so, where is the talent (candidates) for that field being found? Hired from within Australia? Working remotely from abroad? Brought from abroad on a work visa to work in AUS? (If so, are there patterns that show where the people are coming from ?) Is the size of the market growing or shrinking? Across the board? In individual cities? In addition to the size of the staffing and RPO markets, what data can you find about the annual spending made by the market - any patterns and particular areas for spend? What is the forecasted market growth for this group? Other information that can help build a market profile? 3.Pricing - Please gather information on pricing structure, margin levels etc. for staffing companies and existing RPO companies in AUS. 4.Competitive Analysis – Who are our competitors? 1. Please find examples of RPO companies that are Australian owned (operating in Australia and/or other countries) AND foreign owned (operating within Australia, but having ownership within another country) . Here’s what we want to know: 1. How long have they been in business? Who are their customers? How are they earning their customers? How large is their staff? What is their pricing structure? Are they members of any associations or trade groups? Where are they located? How much of the market share do they have in their operating regions? How do they employ their own internal staff? What are the skill sets they hire for? What do they pay their own staff? (Range = ok) Sample of job postings for internal positions would be useful if you can find them. Deadline: end of day Saturday October 1 Market Analysis Report Freelancer should be familiar with writing a business plan and more specifically, a competitive market analysis report. Financial analysis, business writing, and market research experience are beneficial. Willing to pay for high quality, quick work.

We need to do an updated version of this database: http://thefranchisehound.com/2011/01/25/the-best-and-worst-franchises-to-own/ Requires - Researching the SBA - Getting data for the initial set of franchisees - Expanding the list - Putting all reports in Dropbox so we can link to the original source FROM THE ARTICLE Franchises ALWAYS make money, right? WRONG. We wanted to delve deeper into the matter and actually figure out how many franchises fail. So we released the hounds to sniff around and we came across some pretty interesting and startling data. The table below shows the Small Business Administration (SBA) loan failure rates for select franchises. To no surprise, Quiznos is on the wrong side of the list with a 25% failure rate. But they are not alone. Blimpie, Blockbuster (recently filed for bankruptcy), Coldstone and many others have 20+% default rates. Sound the alarms! On the other hand, Pizza Hut, Jimmy John’s, Burger King, Wingstop and Papa John’s lead the pack with below 15% failure rates. Which franchise would you invest in? Source: SBA We asked a former Subway franchisee what he thought about the list and he said, “I don’t think it’s a perfect list since many people that use the SBA generally invest a lower equity amount which makes the investment inherently more risky BUT it still is a great indicator for how franchises fare as investments. If you put a lower than average equity amount into your investment and can still manage to make a profit I’d see that as a very positive sign.” There are a few things we’d like you to know about this particular data: 1. We gathered it from the SBA. Not all franchise loans originate from the SBA so it does not represent the entire loan population. 2. The data represents only loans approved between 2000 and 2009 3. Failure rate is equal to the number of loans in liquidation plus the number charged off all divided by the total number disbursed Although this data is from the Small Business Administration, we encourage you to do your own due diligence.

We are looking for an EXTREMELY meticulous researcher to join our family business and find relevant business opportunities that match our criteria from across the globe. Detailed research and recommendations only from credible sources will be recognized. We have a marketing business and are looking for new products to add to our portfolio. We are looking for services that will help entrepreneurs and businesses to work more effectively, solve problems, help them market themselves etc. When you have finished the research you’ll present them in a report. It must be user friendly so we understand why you chose that company, discernible pros and cons, references to testimonials, social media and any results that appear to point to the company being reputable or disreputable. You will also look for the reviews of other resellers and partners so we know what their experiences are. Duties include: - Look for services and products that are white-label, reseller or agency ready - we want turnkey products that have excellent support that we can market to our customer base. - The services must allow us to sell direct to our customer at a price we choose. It must NOT be a basic affiliate service where we receive a commission for forwarding leads or customers to the service. This distinction will eliminate many options you will easily come across. - If you’re not sure if a company will be right for us (as it seems to have a lot of the criteria but not all) put them on another sheet with your notes and the link to the reseller/business/partnering page – these will be extras and we can judge if they are relevant or not. To start, to ensure you don’t waste too much time barking up the wrong tree, you will need to do the research and present us with 2-3 options so that I can give you feedback on the direction you’re searching in. The opportunities should NOT have a fee for involvement but, if there is one put them on the wildcard sheet and the investment should not exceed $500 USD. The service you find should be relevant to businesses and entrepreneurs as mentioned above. In your cover letter be sure to copy & paste the words “I read and understood the whole description” before you write anything else. We will NOT contact you if you miss this, as it’s a test of your attention to detail. You will need to report your progress daily and keep up communication with us. You must also work on the project every day until it’s done. It's fine if you have other projects/clients but they should not interfere with your ability to execute this one. Once you come back with the suggestions, you will email the companies using an address we provide and collect the responses to the questions we give you for that business. This will help us be sure that the options are entirely useful and valuable for us to bring the products into our portfolio. We need a shortlist of 20 companies that fully match our criteria. Any wildcards would be counted separately shortlist of 10 - 15 companies that partly fit our criteria. If you find businesses that do not tick all of the criteria (but at least a majority), we may still consider them. We are confident that this will suit someone with the knack of finding out hidden details or data and is an expert in fact checking. This has the possibility of being an on going role. The final report will need to be excellently presented and ready within 7 days. Once you have finished the initial portion of research, you will have 7 more days to email and receive responses from the companies.
