We require an API and infrastructure to allow the secure upload of an image from one mobile device to another mobile device. Mobile Device The mobile device requires an image to be uploaded to its library of images, referenced within the mobile application. To achieve this, the application shall: • Generate a QR Code defining a link to a web-based file upload service, with a unique identifier for easy recognition of the specific device • A second user uses QR code scanner software to scan the code and navigate to the provided URL • A second user uploads an image from their device library • The device which generated the QR code receives the uploaded image securely; it is imperative that this image is only transferred to this device Web Interface The web service must: • Correctly identify the device to which the image should be uploaded • Should not hold the image for any longer than is required to transfer to the correct device • Complete the transfer of the image in a time-frame of no more than a few seconds Alternatives The key issue with the QR upload approach is that an internet connection is required but not always available, so we are open to alternative options, bearing in mind the following are likely to be true and unchangeable: • The device is already connected to a wifi network • The second user is not expected to download additional software, so built-in functionality on the device is the only consideration • The second user cannot access the wifi network the main device is connected to

Image Extraction The user must be presented with the directories and image files from the selected social media network, as a scrollable collection of thumbnail images. Directories can be navigated by selecting them, with the option to move up a level. Any selected images will be added to a collection of images ready for download, allowing the user to select images throughout the hierarchy, then download them all in one go through the click of a button. For simplicity, any images selected against one social media network must be downloaded before the user can switch to another network. Notes The UI for this brief needs only be a series of buttons to show the functionality working; beyond the presentation and functionality of the image hierarchies in the social media networks, there is no need for full UI development.
