Hi, we are looking for 3-4 nice illustrations (in sketch style, see example attached) for our brand story. Maybe first a sketch of Kodama (find on google), then a sketch of our printer (TRINUS, find on google), a sketch of the Japanese tree spirit (find on google), and maybe a 4th one you seem fitting.
So just use images from google and put them in the style of the file I attached.
If you're great, you fit text and illustrations on one A4 or A5 piece of paper.
Thanks a lot!
Here is the story:
About Kodama, Inc.
Our name, Kodama, has a double meaning. For one, it refers to Hideo Kodama, a
Japanese researcher who developed the world’s first working prototype of a 3D printer
in 1981. Back then, Kodama had trouble getting people to pay attention to his invention
because nobody had ever heard of 3D printing before. He was too ahead of his time. A
few years later, Charles Hull patented the 3D printing process and went on to found 3D
Systems, the world’s first 3D printing company. Kodama was largely forgotten. In naming
our company, we wanted to remember Hideo Kodama and his daringness to dream.
Meanwhile, a “kodama” is also a Japanese tree spirit. Kodama are thought to have great
supernatural powers. It’s said that honoring them brings blessings and good fortune,
while disrespecting them brings curses and misery. We view kodama as a symbol for a
couple reasons. First, we think trees do their own kind of 3D printing. They grow by
adding on new layers of wood each year, much as a 3D printer makes an object by
deposing layers of material. Secondly, we want to always remember that creativity is a
powerful force to honor and treat well, just like kodama. We believe in the spirit of
imagination, and we want to honor the impact that new ideas and inventions can have.
Which brings us back to Hideo Kodama. Because of his contributions to 3D printing, we
have access to a technology that can democratize production and manufacturing, and
open up new possibilities for medicine, fashion, food, cars, architecture and so much
more. At Kodama, we are excited to explore these possibilities with you.
