Need Assistance with Automatic Syncing of MyMaps (google maps) within a website When our client updates their "my maps" account, we need it to automatically update on their website with the custom styles which are already implemented. We need to sync updates to "mymaps" to a custom website so the client doesn't need to manually load KML files. Let me know if you might have expertise in this! At first we had a simplified version of this that used multiple KML Layers with network link KML files to define them. They synced automatically but, they didn't like it and wanted all of the functionality of the sidebar used in the MyMaps embed. They also wanted links in the info window pop-ups (Google doesn't allow markup in there when created through MyMaps). For the second version we used a modified version of GeoXML-v3 to parse the KML file client side and create the expand/collapse key and convert URLs to links. It also keeps the info windows on the various KML layers in sync. With this method we lose the ability to use the network KML format and we can't just reference the URL to KML file at Google because it will throw a cross-site scripting error. There is a way to pull in the file from a URL using a proxy, but we haven't ventured down that road yet. Another idea is simply setting up a cron job to grab the latest version of the file periodically. 1. Maps need to keep current functionality and custom styling 2. Maps need to automatically update every time mymaps is updated instead of loading new kml file to each map every time a change is made. 3. There are 4 parking maps that need this functionality One of the four maps on the site that needs this functionality: http://50.87.249.66/~downtpp1/maps-parking/parking-map... It needs to keep all functionality as is and now automatically sync as "my maps" is adjusted without having to upload a KML file each time there's a change.
