Looking for experienced EE to test out a theory/idea - need someone familiar with the use and underlying principles of a time domain reflectometer who can help with a different use case. Payment not dependent upon successfully proving the theory, but rather accomplishing a few specific tasks to demonstrate potential. Initial budget is just for preliminary work (initial thoughts, develop plan, etc), with add on work available if successful. For the right candidate, and successful direction, could become permanent offer for remote work on this effort.

Brief: to develop a working prototype MIDI instrument that controls computer music software. The device will use a microcontroller and will consist of a printed circuit board. The prototype will involve developing the hardware and the software. Using off the shelf components and existing open source code. Requirements: ● Preferably works with an iOS device to operate GarageBand’s virtual instruments ● Velocity sensitive buttons ● A matrix of 28 buttons, which are velocity sensitive and trigger MIDI notes. ● LEDs will light up when buttons are pressed ● The LEDs which light up the buttons need to be multicolor LEDs that light up according to the note. ● Powered by 240V mains You will need to design a working prototype. The final prototype will use an existing microcontroller (Arduino or rasberry Pi) and/or a full printed circuit board. Excellent english skills are a must

There are 3 elements to this contract 1) $200 to any one who can find and source this item if it is already manufactured. 2) $300 - $600 to adapt or build from scratch the device (with all documentation). I will include any expenses that are needed (purchase of items etc) 3) To develop an app to work with the above project. $500 - $750 This will be version 1 of 2 versions of this project. The concept I need a transmitter (with 6 settings) As small and lightweight as possible. The settings are set manually or by app/bluetooth......to trigger a different "signal" to the receiver. I need a receiver/transmitter, that is attached to a RGB led strip. That once the transmitter above goes within 2 meter, it lights up ...corresponding with the setting on the transmitter. So if the transmitter is in position 1 the receiver/transmitter lights up blue, 2 = red, 3 = green etc.... If different receivers are needed for each colour...that may be an option.(but not preferred) The transmitter will be moving , but the receiver will be stationary. The transmitter will move quickly (running or on a bicycle), so it needs to trigger quickly. Power to be internal for the transmitter, but external due to LEDs on receiver. The app...Each transmitter (colour) I need to assign assign a name to (like Bob on his bike) .once the light is triggered in the receiver/transmitter....a signal would be sent to the app to say its been triggered, by Bob. There will be a number of these triggers (or gates for time trials)...So each transmitter must be able to send a different trigger (maybe a gps as well), with a time between the first trigger , the next, and so on. Any questions ask please. I dont mind, if someone wishes to just build the device as long as good documentation and access to the app developer is apparent, and in place.

We need your help in specifying an Industrial inkjet system to purchase. We guess that the Ricoh Gen4 inkjet head is the optimum head for our use. And we like to buy our parts on AliExpress. The first Milestone will be to review our ink specifications and to eyeball the available components at AliExpress to get a feel for the optimum printer for us to purchase. The second milestone is to identify and obtain off-the-shelf shareware software to drive the inkjet head, especially since our graphics is non variable and simple bitmap graphics. The third Milestone would be to shop for the components at AliExpress, Etc for parts for the system. The fourth Milestone would be to write a hand-drawn schematic showing the wiring of the components and the tubing and etc for the complete system. Thank you for your interest, Allen Engel.

We are using a photosensor ISL29035 from Intersil for using in a colorimeter. We have the circuit for the development kit. The development kit uses a Silicon Labs 8-bit MCU. We want to redesign the circuit so that we can have the data from the sensor displayed on a 7-segment display and be sent through GPRS on our server.
