Looking for an experienced writer who specialises in dog psychology and training to write an online course in this field. We are an online learning institute, delivering academic courses to students who study from home. Ongoing writing work may be available for suitable applicants.
The course will be aimed at every day dog owners and those wanting to work in a professional capacity as a dog trainer/behaviour specialist. The course should be written with career seekers in mind as the vast majority of our students will be looking to embark on a career in this field and won't necessarily have any prior professional experience.
The course must have a minimum of 10 lessons, each with a multiple choice test at the end including a minimum of 10 questions. 3-4 formal assignments must be included to summarise the learnings throughout the course, including practical optional tasks for students to undertake. Marking guides to be provided also. Assignments will be completed by the student after specific lessons within the course are completed and then marked by a course trainer.
There must be clear objectives for the course as well as in each individual lesson to outline what the student should expect to learn on successful completion.
The course should ideally cover the following subjects, however this is a guideline only as it is expected that a specialist in this field will lead the direction of the course.
The history of dogs, their genetics, dog anatomy and physiology, the brain characteristics and hormonal system, different breeds, health and diet, the puppy years and the pack influence, how dogs learn, dominance and pack structure, dog discipline, dog training techniques, correcting behavioural problems, the owners influence, careers working with dogs.
The course should also present a variety of professional opinions and should not just focus on one training style.
The course needs to be between 150-200 pages long and will need to include pictures and diagrams. All content must be unique, or suitably cited. Final submissions will be checked for copyright infringements.
The course should be written using Australia-English and professionally proof read.
A course template will be provided.
