This project is a debug for an existing, functioning web app that's currently in Beta.
Our enterprise app (marketing analytics) facilitates a whitelabel dashboard for agency customers, who have end-clients.
Currently, our app allows for these agencies to create a subdomain on our site, which acts as "their" dashboard for dedicated client reports, and can be branded with their look & feel.
For example, an agency customer can login to our interface at OurApp.com (not the real site), and create a dedicated dashboard for their clients on a subdomain. Eg. "agency.ourapp.com"
This is all functional and already exists.
Where we're running into problems is in creating an automatic process (on our server side) to "connect" to a CNAME Alias that the agency customer would want to set up on their own site / subdomain.
For example, the agency customer might want to use "reports.agencysite.com" as the CNAME alias that actually resolves to "agency.ourapp.com", though the end-user would still see "reports.agencysite.com" in the address bar of their browser.
We don't need to automate what the agency customer does - they'll obviously need to set up the CNAME alias with their cpanel / webhost.
But it still needs to be approved or somehow facilitated on our end (perhaps interfacing with WHM or a root process), possibly in tandem with the agency customer specifying the "inbound" domain in their UI at OurApp.com
If this sounds like something you can assist with, and have ample experience in this arena - please feel free to reach out.
Since we're also looking to bring on a full-stack dev for much more consistent help, this might be a good project for us both to get our feet wet and see how it goes.
