After I record the show, I will email the Editor to alert them that the audio files are in the company file drive to start working on. The Editor will then:
- Edit the audio file to clean up pitch spikes, add compressions, and generally clean up the audio for clarity. ... I record on a professional microphone with a pop filter so it will not be an intensive edition process but it will need to be cleaned up from time to time.
- Add the appropriate intro & outro segments to the audio file and level the sound across all fragments.
- Export the file and upload the show to my media server adding the appropriate show title, author name, description, tags/metadata and podcast artwork where appropriate.
- Create the "show notes" post in WordPress, using the pattern and template I am currently using for shows. ... He doesn’t have to be a programmer, but he should understand basic HTML tagging, particularly as it relates to lists, links and embedding short code from either SoundCloud or SmartPodcastPlayer.
Audio Editing Software. Should have significant experience in audio editing, preferably with either GarageBand or Adobe Audition.
