PSIM Analysis of Series-Parallel Resonant Converter and Report
The project is to design a boost converter circuit and analysis report, with high efficiencies. They need to have reasonably low costs of components for specification given. There should be accurate calculations of component parameters and reasons why the size of components was chosen for the circuit.
There should be closed loop current and voltage control design (where necessary, with PI blocks, limiters, filters, comparators, voltage sensors, voltmeters, ammeters etc.) with reasons for block use and analysis on Control design. Please refer to the completion table attached for further clarity of requirements. The circuit should simulate correctly with minimal ripple and smooth outputs.
Topologies provided as attachments. Use these specifications, Specification 1: P=1MW; Vin = 20kV; Vout=50kV. 2-5kHZ is an example of the switching frequency that can be used for this converter unless discussed other idea with myself . Design the converters for OPTIMUM efficiency and show calculation overall efficiency with Pin and Pout Values; also design for lowest losses with reason for use of components and how they increase efficiency of reduce losses.
I'm trying to do an investigation looking at installed power in the semiconductors, size of passive components, evaluation of losses in semiconductors, losses in magnetic components and overall efficiency (so I need all these results with calculations, equations and reasons for use).
Evaluation of losses in semiconductors should be done using the thermal modules in PSIM with an appropriate selection of components and parameters. Evaluation of magnetic losses should also be done!
Save SimView figures of Gate Signals, Component Voltages, Input and Output Voltages , Component Currents, processed power against Installed Power and evaluation of losses (including magnetic losses) and provide notes and calculations of losses. Analysis describing the figures. I will need an analysis of each figure to describe it and show operation (discharging, charging, Discontinuous current mode, current mode etc. )
The advantages and disadvantages should be reported and the disadvantages compared to non resonant topologies should be specifically highlighted (costs etc.)
Require files to be saved in PSIM 9.0. If you require reference papers for assistance, I can attach them as well. Need completion in 2 days, maximum. and a start as soon as possible. The figures should be saved in the analysis as printed files not screen shots as enlarging will reduce the quality of the image.
There should be a psim file for each part of the report for the circuit if possible please.
