We are seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to assist with delivery of several projects. Tasks might potentially include: - Finalizing P&ID drawings - Modifying technical specifications for turbines, heat exchangers, piping and vessels - Completing General Arrangement drawings (AutoCAD) - Conducting quality control on data collected from data loggers - Statistical analysis of energy/production data to determine correlations - Report writing - Other tasks as may be assigned You must have flawless English and have high availability. Standard work hours are 9am-5pm Pacific Time (PT). You must be available for discussion and meetings for a majority of these hours. Work is anticipated to last for most of May but may extend. It is possible to design line interactive Inverters or grid charging type. Control Unit : Schematics changes, PCB design. Programming/software development. Other boards such as Inverter, DC-DC push pull converter need signals from this board. As all control functions implemented in software for all boards are from MCU located in this board. DC-DC Push pull converter : Review of design, design changes, package generation. . AC-DC converter from Grid : New design to be made. Enough power to support charging of battery. Scope of work: From Client you obtain CAD drawings, pdf drawings, copies of redlined corrections on plans submitted, list of corrections in word/excel and add corrections listed on two sets of new plans. At this point CF-1R forms not required as part of this job. I am looking for an experience solar engineer to perform the following functions for my Company on a part-time, as-needed basis: 1) Preliminary design strategy consultation to help optimize solar systems for cost, efficiency, and other project requirements 2) Rough drawings and sizing for sales proposals. Prefer to use Helioscope for the drawing & sizing, but open to other programs. 3) Equipment recommendations and research 4) Proposal generation using EnergyToolbase easy step-by-step solar proposal generation software (or a comparable solar proposal software tool) The projects are all relatively straight forward commercial, flat or slight tilt rooftop projects sized 25kW - 100kW located in Los Angeles county and/or Southern California, United States. Knowledge and experience with this market is a huge plus and knowledge of navigating Federal tax credits and incentives for estimating on the proposals is also required. This will be bill at an hourly rate or a per-project sales proposal rate.
