We have a Windows GUI-only program written in VB6 for converting ESRI Shapefiles into another format (we only have the binary, not the source code). The Windows program requires also some parameters for the output format, varying on the type of geometry stored in the Shapefiles. Now we need to make this file conversion automatically, inside a Web service workflow. Several solutions for creating this Web service are possible, one of them is outlined in the attached PDF (geoprep-process.pdf). The file conversion does not need to happen immediately, there can be a delay of 10-20 minutes. Currently, we have the Windows program (geoprep.exe) running in a Win XP virtual machine. The Web service must run on a virtual Linux server. There are two tasks involved: a. automate the Windows GUI program to run based on a set of parameters and given the input files b. write the Web service, e.g. in Rails, Flask, Django, Node, or PHP. We would need an experienced freelancer for both jobs. Ideally, one...

We are developing a mobile application for iOS and Android that rewards users for abstaining from using their phone whilst operating a motorized vehicle. This cross-platform mobile application is written using the Ionic framework and communicates with a RESTful service written in Python Flask, storing data in MongoDB. The project is currently 90% complete and we are looking for a skilled professional to pick up where the previous developer left off in order to finish the project in a timely fashion. There are minor differences between the two platforms/experiences to be handled by commenting out certain functions. Our company is in immediate need of hiring. Hello all! I'm looking to take on a developer, hourly basis, for a project that I began developing myself. I am hoping to launch the MVP within a week. You would help flesh out features and patch bugs I don't have the skillset or time to work through. The application is similar to www.teespring.com oriented towards the Promotional Products Industry.
