Cloud gaming concept allows the game players to play AAA rating games without having powerful hardware devices. The game is run on a high-performance hardware encoded H-264 based GPU server that has the capability to run the game smoothly with high resolution and the game display is streamed to the remote end i.e., client.
A server application runs on the server machine. When it receives a request from the client side, it launches a game instance at the backend. The game display is then encoded by hardware GPU using an encoding technique and finally the game is streamed to the client, using RTSP protocol over TCP/UDP. Currently, we are using H-264 hardware encoding technique.
