We are looking to add an additional engineer to the team who can effectively support every part of the Localist stack. Most time will be spent developing new features on the platform (Rails), but knowledge of how to manage our infrastructure will help us adequately support the product. We're looking for an experienced developer with top-notch software design skills. Our stack includes Rails, Sass, Liquid, Erb, Coffeescript, jQuery and MySQL. We prefer generalists who have lots of successes at every layer of the stack. On your first day, you'll be tasked with instantiating a Localist environment from scratch using documentation we provide. The documentation will have some holes, and it'll be up to you to navigate the waters. Think you can pull it off? We'd love to talk!

We have a feature that's already coded in our web app, "Add an assignment". But the code is pretty crummy, and we want to improve the UX / UI. I'd like your help to create a nicely coded remake of the feature, following our new mockups (attached). You will need to be able to run a LAMP stack on your local machine in order to set up the dev environment. I can help you get this set up. (Or, if you're on a mac you can use MAMP -- which "just works")

We are looking for a front-end developer who lives and breathes client side web applications. The right candidate is someone who can tackle any front end challenge using semantic HTML & CSS and clean, well-tested and modular JavaScript code. We’re looking to work with a true software craftsman/craftswoman who understands good user interface patterns, the critical role user experience plays and who is not afraid to share their opinion on how things should be. We’re not super picky about which frameworks you’ve used before, but our current project that we need immediate help with uses Angular.js and CoffeeScript, so experience with these is important. However, upcoming projects will use tools like LiveScript (an awesome compile-to-JavaScript language for functional style programming), React.js, Redux and immutable.js. In addition, experience with running a Ruby on Rails environment is helpful (but not required).

Background: We have an online system that regularly (a few times an hour) takes data from ecommerce platforms e.g. Magento through the SOAP API and Emails Service Providers e.g. Mail Chimp. It collects and collates all the data on a customer level. At present, data that we pull from commerce are: customer data, customer transactions. Data that we pull from ESP are: information about email campaigns. What we are looking for: We are looking for someone to build, package and upload an Extension to Magento Connect that a user of Magento Connect can install to their Magento Connect Manager An extension that will automatically set up a relevant user and a role in Magento Admin. An extension that will automatically generate an API key An extension that will then send an automated message to our system with the relevant information, so our dev team can authenticate the access and pull the data. We are open to suggestions about exactly how this might work. Partner...
