My name is Jon Paul and I am a mid-level front end developer that is currently looking for a senior Laravel developer to take on a variety of challenges, tasks, script writing, etc. that will help me out during overflow periods or when I can't learn an aspect of Laravel fast enough. Most of the projects that I would be assigning will be vanity projects so I would consider them to be a little more on the fun side as opposed to project work... which may be a positive or a negative depending on how you look at it!
Skills that I will be needing -> a Laravel champion. Great understanding of ReSTful APIs, Migrations, Eloquent, data models... and the rest of the Laravel gig. Knowledge of authentication practices, relationships, and rules also super important. Wouldn't hurt for you to know Foundation, Bootstrap, Sass, and some version of a front end framework just for conversation but no worries if that isn't your thing.
I work 8am-6pm PST... so if after 6pm PST would be rough it probably wont work out.
The gig will be fun and because of the rate that I learn it will probably keep you pretty interested. I did freelance work for a while so there won't be anything to rigid if you are working on my stuff. You will have ample time and I will mostly be paying for your knowledge as compared to the work that you do (crazy right?)
If this sounds like the type of gig for you. please include a resume and some code/ site references. I will shoot you a couple of questions afterwards just to make sure we are synced up.
Addded=> I have to add this in because for whatever reason upwork doesn't make this a obvious part of the job posting. This Job is only for applicants in North America. Quick Explanation about that: I actually love working with foreign developers, and have had great experience with Chinese, Polish, and Russian citizens for various projects. This project however my preference is to find someone that I can have an open dialogue/mentor-ish discussions about Laravel work. Thus I am only looking for someone in the states or Canada. Thank you to everyone else, but being located in North America is a requirement
