I have a simple list of the top 1M websites in the world and I want to build a database of software applications running on those websites. Wappalyzer is a cross-platform utility that uncovers the technologies used on websites. It detects content management systems, eCommerce platforms, web servers, JavaScript frameworks, analytics tools and many more. The code can be found on Github here Everything you need is contained in a Docker image which is managed by Vagrant. I am looking for someone who can setup a docker cluster running on Google Container Engine, install Wappalyzer and setup a mysql database. The database needs to be setup with the 1M website addresses, and Wappalyser needs to visit each website to determine what technology is running on each website. The results are to be written back to the MySql database. More details on the list of applications the Wappalyzer can find can be found here. For the avoidance of doubt, I would expect a single column for Advertising Networks, Analytics etc and for the date and time of the visit to be captured too. I am looking for a fixed price contract and this is expected to be the first of a number of phases. I look forward to hearing from you.

The amount and scope of work will be discussed and depends on what parts of the tasks you can cover, but we need a freelancer who is available for work and calls not only after a daily job! - Deep experience in Java, good experience in Angular and Bootstrap. Deep experience in software engineering in terms of build, release, QA etc, If you are interested, please apply with a cover letter outlining your CV and past experience in this area.
