I'm starting a startup to help cleaners find employers in Brazil and vice-versa:
The website today is on Wordpress, with the X-theme, which uses the Cornerstone builder. This site has been very useful so far for our main purpose: learn a lot by experience. However, we want to take a step further and start charging users at the end of the booking (today we don't have online payment, we have been using a business model charging the cleaners offline). And we are a bit concerned about this move: our site is not very professional yet, and some people may be concerned about putting their credit card number in it, even though we’re using reliable partners for payment, like PagSeguro, a sort of PayPal from Brazil, really popular here.
The main design problems today are in the data form we are using ( a WP Plugin called Gravity Forms) and the checkout page. The homepage is not that bad as it doesn't contain much functionality, only information. The most important function for us in the homepage is a very short form where the employer fills his name, email and phone number (with another plugin called Contact Forms 7). Unfortunately, we have to ask the email again in the 2nd form, as it won’t be passed through to the other form.
So, the scope of this mini-project would be:
1, Improve the handover from the 1st short form in the homepage to the 2nd form (pass the email automatically from the 1st to the 2nd and eliminate the need of the user to fill it twice)
2. Improve the design of the main form (today done with Gravity Forms). It's not mandatory to stop using Gravity Forms. If you think you can make it appear more professional by customizing the plugin, that’s acceptable. The important thing is that it becomes very professional and modern. The checkboxes of the optional fields, for example, may be presented as graphical options, like in:
This form should be presented in 1 page only
3. Improve the design of the WooCommerce checkout page. Make it professional and ensure it will inspire trust, so users will not be concerned on paying a small part of the cleaning session in advance. We want to continue using PagSeguro extension, but better integrated to the site, (embedded). It's acceptable, however, to change to another plugin pointing to another Brazilian payment gateway: MOIP (https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-moip/)
4. Leverage the “Thank you” page (after the user concludes the order) to get more “likes” in our Facebook page or sharing our site or facebook page with friends. This could be done with icons/links in the “thank you” page That is, have more leads and referrals at this stage with minimum user work (1 click)
5. OPTIONAL: if you have experience with design on top of Wordpress and Cornerstore and are sure you can make the home page more beautiful and professional, please, specify what you would do (the concepts, at least), and present a separate offer for it
I would like to pay a fixed price for this project as, as opposed to being based on hours worked.
