Background information on the business name.
(Qi) is the basic substance by which all movements and mutations of all phenomena in the Universe arise. Human life depends upon Qi. When Qi gathers, the physical body is formed; when it disperses, the body dies.
What is Qi?
Images showing the flow of Qi:
(Flow) in this context is used as the continuous movement of energy.
(Therapeutics) In medicine, the branch that deals specifically with the treatment of disease and the art and science of healing.
How Qi moves in Chinese medicine is based on the yin yang principle. There are 4 relationships of Yin to Yang (divisible, rooted in each other, counterbalance &mutual convertibility). Please review the links to help you get a better understanding.
1) Divisible-each yin or yang phenomenon may be classified as yin or yang in contrast to each other. Each yin or yang phenomenon itself possesses both yin and yang aspects that may be further divided in the same way. the process of division may be carried on ad infinitum.
2) Rooted in each other-The notion that yin and yang are rooted in eac other means that they are mutually indispensable and engendering. Yin and Yang are interdependent. Yin exists by virtue of Yang and yang exists by virtue of yin.
3) Counterbalance- yin and yang counterbalance each other. A deficit of one naturally leads to a surfeit(replete/excess) of the other, while the surfeit (replete/excess) of one will weaken the other.
4) Mutual convertibility-yin-yang conversions are found mainly in pathology. This means that where yang patterns can develop into yin patterns and vice versa.
