Looking for someone interested in PRODUCT DESIGN to help sketch a revolutionary mass produced, mass marketable product. We are a USC/Stanford startup based out of Santa Monica and Palo Alto with an idea we believe will save people thousands of dollars, revolutionize how they get water, and, consequently, change the world for the better.
We need someone to help us design at least 1 of our 2 core products:
1) An environmentally friendly reusable glass water bottle for mass production. We envision a modern design conveying sophistication and elegance, and be built in two sizes (375 and 800ml).
2) A Faucet Filtration Device (think Brita) that attaches to the standard kitchen Faucet. As the designer, your focus will be the overall device design and not the specifics of how the device attaches to the faucet (that we will figure out later).
We envision a device that is built with special attention given to 3 pillars:
It should add prestige to the kitchen, not take away from it. It should be modern and appear as part of the faucet, not something that is attached (therefore it must be 100% chrome as all faucets are chrome and it must be small).
It should display the amount of water filtered each day. There could be an app that shows people their daily water consumption vs. what is recommended. The app could also alert people when it becomes time to change the filter.
The device must be price competitive ($25 or less).
