Re-design of Mobile Directory Apps for Russell Bedford International
In November 2014, Russell Bedford International, a global network of independent accounting firms, launched iPhone, iPad and Android apps which provide a mobile directory of the network's members and correspondents, office locations and contacts around the world.
The apps allow users to: search and quickly find Russell Bedford members and correspondents around the world; e-mail or call contacts in the firms directly; zoom into office locations using maps; find the way to offices via GPS; and contact the Russell Bedford central office for advice and assistance.
The apps may be downloaded via this webpage:
Keeping the apps up-to-date has been a challenge. The developers are based in Eastern Europe, and communications have proved difficult.
We now wish to revise the design/programming of the apps to permit automatic updating (e.g. from a spreadsheet on Google Drive) or regular updating by ourselves (with no technical knowledge).
At the same time, we would like to improve the appearance/design of the apps, whilst keeping them simple to use.
It is unlikely that access to the original programme files will be available.
Cost is an important issue as the available budget is limited. The timetable for development is also important as the data in existing apps is very out-of-date.
Proposals are invited for the implementation of the project. Interested freelance developers should provide:
- Confirmation of ability to communicate fluently in English
- Summary of relevant experience in developing both iOS and Android apps, including links to similar examples
- Price for the complete project, from concept design to publishing of iPhone, iPad and Android apps, including easy-to-understand updating instructions
- Proposed timetable
