Hey superstar developer! I have a challenge for you... We are producing a major international film and would like to conduct an experiment to try and demonstrate mind over matter. The best way to show you what we are looking for would be to show you what the director asked for. He wrote... "It would be great to get our hands on a REG (Random Event Generator) or even code our own. An REG basically does lots of 'coin tosses quickly' in the form of ones and zeros. If we can code one in Javascript (front end code) it will be able to do its calculations locally on our phones (rather than on the server) and therefore perhaps pick up on our intention in the room ALTHOUGH REGs seem to work across distances too. Some of the researchers from PEAR started a company called Psyleron and they have now made a lamp that changes colours based on intention as measured by the built-in REG data - nice but not really accurate enough for us. http://www.mind-lamp.com/ IDEALLY we’d have something that is part of the web app (i.e. front end javascript) that people can play with in the cinema and afterwards. The web app will be where we send people after seeing the film. We just need a random stream of 1’s and 0’s. Our goal will be to create more ones than zeros (and vice versa). After using the REG for say, an hour, we’ll check if there was 50% of ones and 50% of zeros or if we swayed it successfully with our intention. As it happens computers can’t really make random numbers because they follow precise logic. Nonetheless, there are some good sites that suggest ways to get over that and your coder may have some idea. http://www.math.utah.edu/~pa/Random/Random.html ... Sound interesting? If you are certain you can build something to suit our needs, then please... 1. Respond to this job posting with your first sentence saying "I am a superstar developer" 2. Include your relevant experience 3. Tell us why want to be involved in this project 4. Include an estimate of how long you think it would take to create 5. Your rates / price (will consider by the hour also) 6. Any questions for us or suggestions if you have a better idea how to do this? ... Can't wait to hear from you! Nick

i have a basic lyrics website. the website shows lyrics in different languages. i want to add APIS. and different features that the user can use to learn different languages whiles listening to music. create a user registration part. user registers and can interact and participate with the community. I have a reference site that has exactly the Apps i need. Link#1 : http://www.vagalume.com.br/katy-perry/dark-horse-feat-juicy-j-traducao.html (here you can see the line by line highlight feature, you can see what line are you reading. and the user can correct it, if its incorrect) WEB APP#1 (attached image): go to link #1 and hit the play button. a video container will pop. play the song. { subtitles show and highlight according to the song timeframe} [[this info timeframe is obviously indexed by the a registered user or admin]]. Notice features in this video container ( can change language of the lyrics, basic video player features, and has a preset playlist) LINK#2: http://aprenda.vagalume.com.br/katy-perry/dark-horse-feat-juicy-j.html WEB APP #2: this is a game. theres a video and the lyrics. there are different difficulty levels. each time the video plays, the lyrics texts highlightsand asks a gramma question. ( ply the game to understand. its very simple) This are two of the main thing, but theres more things that im not going to list here. if you think you can do this. then the others things are easy.

So I need OCR for AS3, to be used in AIR application for mobile (Android & iOS). Tesseract engine is only one possibility, so I'm open to all suggestions, but most ideal solution would be .ANE file I can use in Flash and pass bitmapData to it, and receive string back to Flash. My app would take a photo, and .ANE should recognize text from it. I'm sure there's already many engines and libraries for OCR, but I haven't found any .ANE's for AS3 or AS3 version of them. So this would probably be quite simple project to someone who has done native extensions before. I attached an example photo so you can see what kind of text should be recognized. Most important is to recognize the winning line from the ticket, everything else is extra. It needs to be recognized from the ticket image without forcing user to define the area of winning line etc. One ticket may also contain more than one winning line (like the example pic has 3).

Ok, this may sound crazy however it is what i call a game changer, I would like to give my lawn care service customers a bar-code in their welcome package when they sign up with my company for services. They would place the barcode on the mail-box post and we would scan it on arrival and departure. on departure scan it would achieve the gps coordinates and also charge the customer. all of this being live online for the customer to see and enjoy. ANY TAKERS!!!! I also have programmed a easy estimator tool online for pricing please view and you will see the start of my plan! http://easyestimator123.azurewebsites.net/ "I myself know how to program , but not to the level im asking, this easy estimator is the best i can do as far as programming goes"

Building can be done on Ubuntu and/or Windows via Eclipse or pure ant/java/ivy tools. The end project is a copy of Pentaho BI (Community Edition) that builds from source code and runs on the included Tomcat server with the repositorySynchronizer plugin also building from source.
