Note that this is the first of other larger jobs that will be posted based on the successful completion of this initial job. Looking for an experienced Android and cloud developer to set up the open-source Simba software (https://github.com/SimbaService/Simba/) inside of a VirtualBox virtual machine as per instructions in its README. The task primarily involves setting up dependencies correctly and potentially making minor changes to Simba code due to changes in Android APIs, Swift, and Cassandra. The job involves three steps. First, install the server, which requires an installation of Openstack, Swift, and Cassandra; and test the server using the packaged Linux client. Second, install the Simba client on an Android device and ensure proper connectivity with the Simba Server. Third, test the Simba client using the available example app (SimbaNoteApp) through sync on two devices (Samsung Galaxy S6 or Android Marshmallow). The output of this job is three deliverables: (1) A virtual machine (or a set of virtual machines) containing the server installation, with the networking correctly configured, (2) An Android APK for the Simba Client compatible with Samsung Galaxy S6 (or Android MarshMallow), and (3) The Simba client, the SimbaNoteApp (both running on an Android phone) and the Simba Server installation working correctly upon launching the virtual machine.

We are requiring software engineering candidates to take a coding challenge (test), and are in urgent need of 1 or 2 people to evaluate and grade candidates' responses to the coding test. We would need quick (few hours) turnaround on grading, with numeric (0-100) grading results for the overall test along with explanation of grade for each answer on the test. The test evaluates advanced engineering/coding skills and may be completed in language the candidates choose. Example test: 1. Given a one dimensional array of data write a function that returns a new array with the data reversed. Don't just use the reverse function that is built into your environment. 2. Write a quick and dirty program (not just a standalone function) to print a count of all the different "words" in a text file. Use any definition of word that makes logical sense or makes your job easy. The output might look like this: 17 a 14 the 9 of 9 in 8 com 7 you 7 that 7 social 6 to ... For this input file, the word "a" occured 17 times, "the" 14 times, etc. 3. Write a function that returns M random non-negative integers less than some value N. Each integer must also be unique. 4. Given a one dimensional array of data write a function that returns M random elements of that array. Each element must also be from a different position in the array. 5. Briefly describe how a DNS server works. 6. Consider a directed graph of small non-negative integers where each integer is less than 60,000 and each integer is unique. In this case, a directed graph is a data structure where a node is represented by a unique integer and each node has zero or more child nodes. As above, don't just use an existing graph library. - Write a function that creates a node in a graph. - Write a function that inserts a node as a child of another node. - These functions should not allow cycles to be created. That is, a node may not directly or indirectly point to itself. - Write a function to print out a graph Here is a simple example graph without cycles: 1 -> 2, 3, 4 2 -> 5 3 -> 6 4 -> 3, 6 5 -> 6 6 -> No children
