For this project, Quidsi/Diapers.com will be sourcing an external partner to build text based content for a selection of pages on our sites. Quidsi will provide subject matter and specific keywords for each section. Every piece of content will have two core requirements: 1) Be useful to current and future visitors to our site, by providing relevant information concerning multiple product categories that answer questions, solves problems and “puts Mom’s mind at ease” that she is making the best purchase decision possible; 2) Utilizes SEO best practices and techniques, provided by Quidsi, that will aide higher search ranking results when Google crawls our site.
We will be building two distinct types of copy: 1) Descriptive “copy blocks” of ~300+ words for category pages; 2) In-depth product guides. The “copy blocks” for the product category pages will describe the category and its options and answer common questions. The copy should include, as appropriate, specific terms provided by Quidsi that are typically highly searched. In addition, we may imbed links within this copy, to other content that is useful to Mom (See Appendix A for two different examples of a copy block). The in-depth product guides, which will expand on some of the category copy blocks, might include: top brands or products consideration guides, information on how to use a product, safety issues to consider, etc. (See Appendix B for two examples of well written product guides for our purposes).
Quidsi will be responsible for implementing the copy on each web page. Writing partner is responsible for writing the copy blocks and engaging in one edit session per block which is defined as Quidsi delivering their suggestions in writing, via the outlined details in the scope of work.
