Hi, I'm Mike and our blog is using the Fancybox for WordPress plugin:
I would like to add some enhancements, but using our own JS script, not changing the plugin itself.
Two things to be done:
1. Better captioning of the fancybox images
2. Call to action buttons overlaying the fancybox images
Here's an example post with the plugin in action:
The first image (of the product) has a title tag attached to the image's link. That title displays as a caption in the fancybox popup image. It gets created within <div id="fancybox-title"><div id="fancybox-title-inside">[[CAPTION GOES HERE]]</div></div>
But the second image (the ingredient label) does not have a title tag on the images <a> link. So no caption in the fancybox popup shows up.
I would like the following to happen:
- IF there is no title on the <a> image link, then use the IMAGE's caption (in the wp-caption-text class) as the fancybox caption.
-- If that does not exist, then use the image's ALT tag.
--- Otherwise, no fancybox caption.
2. Call to Action Buttons
We'll have to work on this together after completing the first part's milestone, but it will look at some variables setup in the priceplow_settings part of the page and create some button links if they exist.
To apply, address me by my first name and let me know if you can accomplish this.
