We are looking for an all-round admin that's fluent in Windows management, Linux management, loves solving problems and doesn't stop working on a task until it's done to a perfection.
You should be really versatile or be able to learn new tricks quickly just because you enjoy working with technology. You are open minded, understand cloud hosting and AWS infrastructure, you can write bash scripts and you automate all your tasks as much as possible. You are proud of your work and results, love monitoring your servers, backing them up and upgrading as much as possible.
You understand the word stability and correct ITIL or PRINCE processes, but at heart you just want to make everything better and faster as quickly as possible, you have your own ideas and you have a knack for progress, even if it sometimesmeans taking calculated risks and skipping best methods.
You are able to install antivirus on a dekstop or a mobile phone without a problem and you can set up CI for a large project deployment. You are familiar with SVN, Github, JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Ansible, Jenkins, Chef and all the other tools that people like to talk about.
Virtualization is your hobby, ESXi management and scalable, resilient and robust cloud or private infrastructure is your passion. You are able to write documentation and produce diagrams about what you have just built and set up and you are curious about latest technologies and you follow the latest trends in the IT world.
You understand Firewalls like VyOS, pfSense, OPNsense, you are not obsessed with one single solution and you are happy to test and benchmark existing tools and products just to have an idea of what the reality of their performance is.
We work on several interesting projects and this is a long-term semi-full time position (negotiable), where you will be dedicated to us as remote hands and you will have all technical answers, come up with better questions if they are wrong to begin with and work using latest Agile methodologies to provide the best possible service.
This is not a customer facing role, unless you are comfortable talking to regular non-technical people directly over live chat or email. You use Slack, Skype, WeChat, Whatsapp, Viber, Gmail, private email - because one solution is never the best.

The time zone for interaction must be around GMT, but not necessarily from 9am until 5pm.. hours are flexible, achieved results shouldn't be.
