2 physical servers (Intel® Core™ i7-6700, 64 GB DDR4 RAM, 2 x 500 GB SATA SSD) connected with a second network card need to be setup for a PHP/MySQL Load Balanced Setup using NGinx and Master-Master Replication - also a solution for a shared uploaded user files directory is needed (GridFS? Rsync? Simple Mount?) Everything needs to be optimized for maximum performance / throughput / requests, minimal response time for a PHP/MySQL website. Tasks: - Linux Setup: Firewall, System Level (OpenFile Handlers, sysctl config) - Apache Setup (or alternatives) and optimization - MySQL Master-Master replication - common directory for uploaded files (GridFS, Mount, other solutions) - NGinx as a load balancer - security tools like ssh black, change SSH port etc.. - setup basic monitoring and alerts via email - no email server is required - setup solr cloud (but I could do this also myself) You need to know what you are doing and have experience with high-traffic websites and MySQL Master-Master setups. When you apply for this, please submit your fixed price offer and / our hourly rate for ongoing support in the future now and then. If you are experienced to offer an ancisble playbook for this, also mention it please.

I have a Digital Ocean account and have three droplets that need to have both security put in place (firewalls, VPN, email security etc...) to protect the servers from hacking and also protect email content. Also 2 of the servers need a game plan put together to allow for scaling for a large volume of users. My understanding I would need at create 2 clusters, where each cluster would have several associated droplets (system files, DB, analytics processing, file storage) and then a load balance to direct traffic between teh clusters. Also I want a plan to have redundancy to make sure if 1 cluster goes down, there is always at least 1 current version of the entire system available. Then finally a backup plan for all system files, DB files, and file storage. I can not lose any data or files, so the backup would have to occur at least once an hour (if not more often) and all should be saved for at least 30 days. DROPLET 1 - CentOS 7.2 X 64 - Uses WHM/cPanel to manage many domains and acts as email server via WHM/cPanel DROPLET 2 - Ubuntu LEMP on 14.04 - dedicated server for one domain with no adminstrative software like WHM DROPLET 3 - Debian 8.3 x 64 - dedicated server for one domain with no adminstrative software like WHM Finally a plan to allow me to determine when I need to expand system resources (DB, CPU, RAM, DISk SPACE) Please describe your plan in detail. The best plan along with showing your expertise will be selected to implement your plan. The implementation would start in about 2 weeks. This will give us time to talk and for me to answer any questions you have One time payment for the selected Freelancer. Fee is negotiable for the right person. Prefer people in the USA, but I am open to experts world wide.

I have a 1200-line Powershell action that performs its work on batch collections of images. I'd like to scale this to reduce the time it takes to run. The script: Catches corrupt image files, wipes Exif data, sorts large, small, and non-jpeg images into folders, coverts file types TO jpg, sorts gif-single-frame and multi-frame, re-titles extensions correctly, sizes down oversized images, and creates a log. This script uses ImageMagick and libraries like ExifTool and TRID. Programmer should have: Powershell experience and previous contracts of this nature (Performance tuning, Load balancing, Multi-threading, Scaling, Cloud, using GPU resources). Knowledge on programs: Powershell, Imagemagick, .Net, Exiftool You will make all necessary code changes to improve the application's performance.

Hi There, we are a small french innovative startup with a infrastructure that observe millions of real estates ads from several countries, process them with data analytics and package the results into a set of end-user services for real estate agents. My current admin is a US smart freelancer who seek simplicity over complexity and was able to quickly solve issues and with a good verbal communication skill. however he doesn't have enough time. so I looking for the same profil. As admin , your task is critical, Required skills / technology we use: - Puppet - Jenkins - Docker - Prometheus (metrics / monitoring/alert), - load balancing/ backup strategy, - ElasticSearch , - PSQL, - Grafana, - Rails Application, - infrastructure security (we are not paranoid) Profil Criteria: - Get thing done & tested ( I try to not use micro-management, you're free) - strong debugging skill / able to quickly investigate an issue - autonomous but friendly/social strong verbal communication skill ** (a daily video skype will be done) - availability / reliability (if there is an issue on the weekend) - committed The kind of tasks you will be doing: - finishing to setup a load balancing system with rails, psql, elasticsearch + docker - consolidating the monitoring and alert system of the infrastructure - making sure that the cluster fo elasticsearch is properly setup (if a node failed, the otehr node take the lead) - consolidating the jenking tasks - simplify the general architecture if required. work management: - we use trello for managing the task and issue + skype to communicate - I am a friendly , I can help but you have ot understand that I am very busy (i am the co-founder) so I like calling instead of chatting, I try to take time at the beginning to answer to any question but I am looking for an autonomous person who quickly gets it ;) the 3 first tasks: - I wil ask you an estimated time to complete the task and we will agree on fix hoursto avoid bad surprise (you tell me 1h and finish in 8h because of 'unexpected stuff'). this will also enable me to estimate: 1. how fast you really complete the task 2. the reliability with your original estimate. the best is when you tell me 1h and finish in 1h. the worse is when you tell me 1h and finish in 8h. --- QUESTIONS --- 1. Rate yourself ! = Mark from 0 (beginner) to 10 (top notch), 5 = 1 year of experience for each technology and each profil criteria and associate a comment about why this mark. Thanks ! ;) NOTE: be carefull to " I am the best and put 10/10 marks.=> I will have high expectation = high deception if you do not have such levl = I will expect that you get things done fast. => if you mark 10 and work 4h to do a job that a senior takes 15 mins . you're burnt ! . dont play to such game. 2. What skill/new technologies/new practices have you learned recently that you think were worthwhile? Thanks for your application ! Nicolas linkedin.com/in/nmaisonneuve
