We are developing a print journal for use in a network of house churches. It will be an oversized book, maybe twice as high and wide as a normal paperback book, give or take. In the beginning there will be a couple chapters of text, sort of like a normal book, then in the main section of the book it will be a full year, 52 weeks, of pages to be used as a journal. We will have to work carefully to lay these pages out, because it will have daily scripture readings, specific reflection questions, and also a guide and format (with space to write things in a journal format) for the sunday gathering time as well. Every week will have different daily/weekly bible readings, but the base format for the pages will be identical, with identical questions.
In the back of the book will be a handful of chapters and sections of text. Some will have diagrams (provided by us) and graphics, but for the most part this will be all text, beginning to end.
I need a designer who has a strong eye for print layout, to help us produce a very nice and sharp layout for the journal and the chapters. I want it to look wonderful, and have excellent spacing for all items. Appropriate shading and lines and graphics where needed to make the journal look top notch.
