The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, scoping, execution and delivery of both new eCommerce websites and ongoing initiatives for existing sites. To accomplish this they will engage with strategic, creative and technical teams to deliver on time and on budget, with customer satisfaction always being in the forefront.
The ideal candidate for this role will not only be able to excel in standard project management activities but will at times wear the hats of an account manager, strategist and quality expert to produce on their deliverables. They will be driven, have a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, deliver a quality experience and most importantly enjoy the world of eCommerce!
RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE CUSTOMER
Ownership and accountability of project delivery as well as multiple ongoing engagements
Identify, distill and scope client requirements and activities while offering innovative solutions
Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and delivery of gantt charts, functional specification documents and development manuals
For Managed Services (ongoing engagements), leading sprint review and planning sessions
Coordinate and verify the completion of daily tasks within both dedicated and shared teams
Identify, document and manage scope or deliverable change requests, either initiated internally or by the customer
Communicate effectively with the customers across a variety of mediums to ensure their understanding of status and progress of projects and ongoing engagements
Plan and control quality by reviewing items before delivery to client, facilitating internal review sessions and coordinating through user acceptance testing
Evaluate the value of the work to be delivered to the customer and seek to back it up with data to drive educated decisions
Take the lead on quarterly roadmap strategy/planning sessions
Conduct periodic engagement and project reviews with key client stakeholders to provide progress reporting and plan to key milestones, manage key decisions and mitigate risks
