What I am seeking: I am seeking a remote assistant who can take content and syndicate it into multiple publications. A syndication is taking content from one blog and republishing the article to places like The Good Men Project, The Huffington Post, Thought Catalog, Business Insider, etc. I currently syndicate blog post to nine different publications.
Hours per week: 10 hours (to start)
Location: Remote (must have your own computer with internet access)
Must understand HTML or be willing to learn. You can take a quick codecademy course.
Must understand how to hyperlink, bold text, italicize text, make different headings and bring an image into a post using image search.
Must be able to write quality and professional emails in english
Must be proficient in Google Docs
Must be highly organized
Must have a high level of attention to detail
Must be able to learn how to submit to different publications and double check links before articles are submitted. (I have a written guide on how to submit articles to each publication)
Must be capable of online research to find new publication contacts and email
Must be able to work productively from home and manage your own schedule
Must send weekly goals and a summary of the previous weeks accomplishments and projects in an email by Monday morning at 9 am
Must be able to have a 30 minute conversation on the phone once a week
Relationship: This is an independent contractor position. We will use Upwork as our medium for payment and tracking of hours. That means you are responsible for reporting your income for taxes. Upwork will give you a form for that.
Tracking Projects: All submissions, contacts and published post will be tracked in a shared Google Spreadsheet.
Bonuses included. To be paid on the 10th of every month.
As we get to work with each other, your responsibilities may grow and your hours may expand. This is a long term part-time contract.
