We are designing a product that will be worn on the body as either a wristband or a clip-on type device. It needs to contain a small replaceable battery, printed-circuit board (PCB), Bluetooth chip, and an activation mechanism.
We are not yet sure about how the activation mechanism will work. The idea is that this device can be used in an emergency to send a signal to a phone or other connected device. It could be a simple button, a rip cord, a latch held on with magnets, or something entirely different.
We need some CAD renderings showing different looks, form factors, and activation mechanisms.
We need someone to design the internal hardware. The device needs to receive input from the activation mechanism and then send a "go" signal to a phone connected via Bluetooth. It will be powered with a simple pill or watch battery.
At some point in the future we will want to build in an accelerometer, but for now we just want this basic functionality.
We need this product to be reliable, durable, and high quality. We have kept the design requirements simple to reduce cost, but the most important aspect is that it can survive day-to-day use and will never fail. It cannot break when dropped or work intermittently.
