Hi, I am an engineer from a small IT firm in Australia who specialises in many on-premises systems, IT contracting and other support roles. We are currently looking at implementing cloud based solutions, and are carrying some research and development. Currently, we have our eyes on Azure as a suitable platform for our solutions. Ultimately, we are looking to meet two targets; 1. Basic VM configuration on virtual network, and configuring a VPN. For this, we have access to trial accounts, and a DrayTek VPN router. See the attached topology for our ideal demo network layout. This is what we are looking to achieve. 2. Setting up a full virtual active directory / domain controller. Further discussion may be productive, to establish the requirements for what we are looking to achieve. Our test lab equipment: We would welcome anyone with actual working experience in establishing these solutions. We have facilities such as Skype, Teamviewer, or Google hangouts for communications and screen-share. As for hardware we have on site, we have a DrayTek 2912 router with a separate Telstra 4G connection (with exposed public IP) for easy straight through internet access as you would have with a router on client premises. We also have a Windows 2012 server and test laptop. Our domains are also verified in our Azure. We're open to suggestions of other hardware to improve our session. The ideal candidate will have had experience setting up production Azure solutions, including a site-to-site VPN, and will have excellent written and verbal communication.

Thank you for looking at this post. We are looking for network administration help with four small businesses. The current job offering would initially be about 30 hours a week for a couple months with a chance it could become full-time. Geographically, being in local proximity to the Philadelphia area is helpful but not necessary depending on the value you could bring to our organizations if you are working remotely. In fact, a current network administrator has been handling his duties remotely for nearly eight months, and doing so quite effectively. Since I mentioned this tidbit, I may as well mention that the possibility of a full-time position is because this remote net admin is going to extend his mission trip for an additional 18 months with additional responsibilities and will not continue working for our company. Here is a brief list of some specific tasks that we need to accomplish over the next couple months. There are more but these are where I have the most hours budgeted: - Migrating all of our VMWare images over to Hyper-V - Migrating an on-site Exchange server to Office 365 - Migrating some Server 2003 boxes to Hyper-V. - Fixing an AD mess of a large organization we acquired. - Documenting and implementing best practices on areas that need it. The following are absolute necessities: - Be able to use a telephone effectively. This wasn't meant to be funny either. Even if you don't speak the best English (like me) you need to know when it's time to disconnect the chat session and call the end-user or third-party support. - Work in a team environment. You will be working with another Network admin, a support tech, and an RMM platform specialist. Good communication is vital. - A reliable and fast Internet connection when you are not in the office. You don't have to be on call 24/7 but we do like to work from home a lot if the specific task allows for it. The ideal applicant would have very recent working experience with the following: - Server 2008 and 2012 - PowerShell/Scripting - Office 365, AD FS, DirSync and Azure - Hyper-V - Storage Craft - Cisco ISA and ASA Routers - Exchange 2010 and later The following experience would be helpful but not necessary: - MS SQL - VMWare - Microsoft Dynamics NAV Applicants should respond with their detailed, relevant experience as it applies to the criteria listed above.
