Our client are moving office on the 20th of September 2016 and we need help re-synchronising their database between their two offices and cloud based server. The client runs Sage Act! 2012 with about 20 licenses and will not be upgrading as part of the process. The database size is around 28,000 contacts and the server also runs the web version of Act! for their sales reps. You estimate you time and costs, I have no preconceived notions on the price for the initial setup work. I figure it's at most 4-5 hours work for a seasoned Act! consultant. Work must be completed on either the 19th or 20th of September 2016.

Our company owns and operates a real estate web application that is very data intensive. We are seeking an individual with uncanny database skills particularly when it comes to Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL writing, and working with various disparate sources of data and unifying them into a well documented, high performing MS SQL environment. The right candidate will have the following qualifications: 1) Experience in working with a variety of data sets and bringing them into MS SQL. txt, csv, xls, accdb, mdb, dbf, etc. 2) Excellent conceptual relational database skills. You will be challenged to create standardized tables where there are no standards almost regularly. 3) Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and newer, particularly when it comes to ETL, T-SQL querying, creation of tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, and security. 4) Since the data we deal with is so extensive, the right candidate must have superb writing skills to be able to document all of the projects he or she will be dealing with. In addition to the traditional DBA related work detailed above, the candidate who continues to work with us will likely get involved in other parts of the software development including documenting processes on how the developers' code will interact with the data, and even quality assurance testing of the web application. Lastly, candidates who are located within close proximity to Long Island NY and/or have some level of real estate background/knowledge will be considered closely. This job posting took a fair amount of time to write. Candidates who do not do the same with their cover letter will not be considered. Thank you, and good luck.
