We have just upgraded to Visual Studio 2015 and have a number of migration issues. We have an immediate need to work with someone who has done this before to fix these errors and warnings.
Once that is done, we have a permanent need to work with a developer on a variety of coding issues. Initially, most of these relate to desktop applications. Over time, we will have more web-based work.
We have a large code base, which is in VB.net. The code base is high quality and stable.
Please do not apply unless you are highly qualified experienced with this type of upgrade, and can speak English to a very high level. We are looking for a developer with 10+ years experience. Many thanks.
When responding, please specify each following item:
>Which of the above skills that you possess
>How good your spoken English is
>Whether you can work week-ends and late at night during the week
>That you are comfortable with a side-by-side working approach via a remote working session (e.g., via LogMeIn), with both parties discussing logic, taking turns manipulating the keyboard and mouse, and agreeing the work on a step-by-step basis (Please note that we are very technical and want to add value to our projects and to continue learning. We will not 'poach' your staff members.)
>The number of monitors that you use (We use Log Me In on machines which have two or three monitors attached to them. If you have multiple monitors then Log Me In will allow you to see each of our screens.)
We are very busy, so we rely heavily on consultants attending work sessions at the times that we agree together, and for the period of time that we agree together. We have had previous experiences of consultants being unreliable with timing, and they have missed scheduled work sessions or cut them short. We always provide honest feedback, providing praise where it is due, but we will be critical if scheduled work sessions are missed or cut short.
