I run a small business and I've been mapping out all of the different processes we use and systems we employ. All of these systems and processes are interconnected in different ways.
I'd like to come up with a way to visualize all of these systems and be able to see the connections between them.
I've tried to do this with mindmapping software such as Xmind and SpiderScribe. Neither worked very well for this. Our business has different systems, each of which has a unique set of processes. All of these systems are tied together with a series of spreadsheets. Xmind wasn't flexible enough to accurately convey how this worked. While it appeared as though SpiderScribe could pull it off, I found the interface hard to use, which made it frustrating and cumbersome to use for this.
So, I'd like to hire somebody with mindmapping, flow charting, or process/system visualization experience who can recommend some tools that can be used to accomplish this goal, show me how to use them via screenshare, and then stay on-contract with me, answering questions I may have.
Note: I'm not looking to find somebody to simply design this for me. Rather, I'd like them to advise me and guide me, while I create this myself. I'd like to be able to regularly update this as our business processes change and therefore need the ability to work on it myself.
