A successful applicant does NOT need to be a technical expert on Moodle, or someone who uses Moodle everyday. However, to be successful you MUST: - be familiar with Moodle (if I have to explain what it is, how it works, what it is used for, etc. you should NOT apply) - be able to create, edit and administer posts in a standard WordPress environment - be able to produce materials on a very regular schedule - understand the principles of re-purposing material from other sources - be able to produce ALL-ORIGINAL content - be able to source, edit and/or produce images that are licensed for general reuse - be able to write posts in excellent, American/British/Australian English that need very little polish or editing The very BEST candidate will be able to show me: - a portfolio of materials you have produced that are currently online - the "personality" within their writing - that you understand how to work within a system for creating content (sourcing ideas, creating posts and scheduling publication) - know the basics about how open source technology works (how its created, updated, etc.) - have a "general understanding" of how technology like Moodle and Worldpress "work" (e.g. how they are installed, set up, used, configured, administered, etc.) - Have a broad understanding of the LMS marketplace I would be happy working with one super awesome writer, a team or some other combination. ...
