Scope of Work
This upgrade is to fix/improve some issues with Freshella Kitchen System ( a remotely hosted web application) and to upgrade it to where the kitchen work station orders are printed automatically at midnight on a network printer(s) located in the kitchen and set up to print from a remote server. Each production item will be now an individual sticker, that will adhere to the item once the work is completed. The individual sticker will facilitate the tracking of order items for delivery as well as how many items each kitchen station has to do. The sticker system will also facilitate the tracking of orders items as the get produced in different stages in the kitchen.
Fixes and updates on current system
Add a modification box (blank data entry) to the add a new order page. Location could be where “Late Order selection is” The purpose of this box is to add a order wide message for a particular order. E.g. “No Onions, highly allergic to onions”.
Eliminate the one day/two day prompt, when entering an order. Enable the system to be aware of current date, and to print work orders according to the current date. System already knows that some items take several days prep. If an order is placed on the same day, system should know that work order items for the previous day should now print on the day of, since yesterday has already passed.
Eliminate Saturday and Sunday as working days. So if an order is placed for Monday and it requires one day before prep. That prep work items will be done all on Monday. Work items that theoretically should have been printed on Sunday, will be printed on Monday. Also, if an order is placed for Monday and the item has a two day process, the work items that should have theoretically printed on Saturday will be pushed back to Friday. (In the event that the cooks don't get to an item on the particular day, the sticker left behind will remind them of the work left to do for the next working day.)
Add a modification box (blank data entry) to the ‘Add Items to the Order’ page. Location could be right below “Quantity” The purpose of this box is to add an item message for a particular item. E.g. “make all ranch dressings for salad”
Add a sandwich type for all sandwich items. When adding an item and it is a sandwich type a box will automatically populate with the different sandwiches types. Each Sandwich will already have a default number, but all numbers can be modified.
Add the order name on the ‘Add Items to the Order’ page, to the right of this title.
To make search box a full site search instead of the searching only on current page/section.
System should keep track of final number of items for an order. In order to do that we want to add a marker on the “Add a new item” page, specifically in the part task. Or maybe the system can keep track of the last part task and count that as one of the items for the final order. We would like the system to print a final order sticker that will have the total number of items for that particular order (see image below) So when an order is getting ready for delivery, driver can quickly count the number of items to make sure nothing is missing.
Every time an order changes because of an item addition or a total order increase (or decrease), work order stickers should reprint for all parts if it is a total number of guest change. If only an item was added them just the new item sticker should print. New stickers should have update 1 or 2 or 3 code and so forth if there is a change in the original sticker. See stickers sample below. Also the final count sticker should reprint if total count has changed.
Final stickers size should be around 1” by 2” (current size is not final, it has been enlarged for clarification purposes)
Add number of final packaging containers for items by count. Currently we are having issues with the final product packing. Product is place in too little or too large of container. So when entering the final item part task we would like to set how it will be packed. We need a three boxes with input selection that will calculate final container. One box will have the count and second the type of container and the third will have the rounding. E.g. for chicken entrees the first box will have the number “15” and second box the value “Half Pan” and the third will have 5 for the rounding. So if an other is placed for 30 chicken entrees the sticker for the final station will will show “2 Half Pans” If order is set for 17 it will be one half pan, if it is for 21 it will be two pans.
